We look for the good and avoid the bad, while keeping in mind that issues rarely present themselves in black and white.  Rather than rely on exclusionary screens alone, we seek out businesses whose work benefits the environment and society.  Any one of our investment candidates must fit into at least one of the the following categories:

1. Progressive Businesses – implement conscious positive choices.  They aim to turn a profit while doing what is right by the environment and society.  They are active players in moving towards the goal of sustainability.
2. Technology Developers – pioneer their fields, developing revolutionary products and services that can replace currently unsustainable technologies.  Alternative energy is one example.
3. Standard Setters – lead their industries.  They have implemented business practices and made investments that move their undesirable industrial footprints in positive directions.

     We integrate a disciplined investment approach with progressive concerns about the environment and society.   After all, investing should be about doing well by doing good.  It should not be a value-less activity.
